What are Digital Paintings?Digital Paintings are created using software such as Corel® Painter™ IX, Corel Painter Essentials® and Adobe Photoshop® along with a Wacom® tablet to render photographic images into digitally painted renderings. The effects range from the appearance as if a reproduction print of oil or acrylic media, ink drawing, water color or pastel chalks. We will choose and recommend the surface that a specific image should be produced on as the rendering is specific to the size and surface of the material for best appearance. Canvas and Paper DescriptionsWe use artist materials supplied by Epson® , Fredrix, Strathmore Artist Papers, or Legion Paper. These materials are available in sheet or rolls. Not every size is available in every surface. As mentioned above, we will recommend certain image and surface combinations as being preferred. Artist Canvas: This is just as the name implies, a canvas material, soft and limp when not mounted. These may be attached to a traditional stretcher frame or surface mounted to foam-core or archival mount board. Artist Papers:· Canvas Cover has a less pronounced canvas texture on a moderately stiff substrate. No supportive mounting is required. · Watercolor paper is a traditional artist paper with a subtle texture as in traditional watercolor paintings. · Smooth or Enhanced Velvet are smooth finish, matte papers for sharp photographic images. · Fiber or Weave Papers with the texture of rice paper. Information regarding digital artist papers may be found on line at: Mounting and Display RecommendationsPrints to be displayed should be mounted using archival mounting materials. Professional frame shops can handle these requirements for a nominal price. Some online sources of mounting and display materials:
